Housing Program

  • Clients at risk of becoming homeless have access to housing supports after completion of intake and assessment

  • Assistance with finding immediate and long term housing

  • Access to low income Bachelor and one Bedroom apartment suites and four bedroom family house

  • Referrals and assistance with applying for Aboriginal Family Housing and Aboriginal Seniors Housing

Youth Development Program

  • Promotes healthy active living; cultural awareness & appreciation; and racial harmony

  • Medicine Wheel Program

  • Filling Our Tipis Program

  • Coordinated volunteer activities

  • Sports and recreational activities

  • Traditional Trails Program includes Field Trips, Culture Camps, Powwows, Round Dances

Caregiver / Parenting Education Program

  • Traditional Parenting Skills Program – 12 Week program, includes Elders Storytelling Circle for children 0 – 6 years old

  • Traditional Trails Program includes Field Trips, Culture Camps, Powwows, Round Dances

  • Parent Drop-In Support Sharing Circles Program – Bannock & Tea, Traditional Crafts, Talking Circle

Elders Program

  • Elders Hot Meal Lunch program – once a month on Fridays, posted monthly in Riel Issues Newsletter

  • Fridays – Games We Play for Seniors (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm): crib, bingo, tile rummy, dominoes 

  • Workshops, Training, Conferences, Income Tax Filing, Cultural Activities
